Feel the Warmth of Sisterly Bond in the Short Film “GIRLHATTAN”
A tale of two sisters living worlds apart — GIRLHATTAN recounts the journey of a young girl as she cruises through the streets and blocks of New York City all alone, with only the voice of her big sister speaking from the other end of the planet accompanying her. She discovers, through these little moments she spends talking and walking, what is missing from her life — the things so dear to her and how the beautiful memory of them can eventually keep her moving forward.
Kick-starting the campaign is the premiere of this short film by hottest film director du jour Nattawut Poonpiriya of Bad Genius fame. Shot in New York, the film marks the first time Nattawut teams up with his sister — talented actress of Mary Is Happy, Mary Is Happy Patcha Poonpiriya — and Emporium Department Store to tell a touching story of two sisters who live far apart, but whose hearts are connected through remembrance of precious little moments they spend together at shopping mall. It’s the memory of these happy moments that keep them going even in the loneliest day.
